OTTOBRE design® magazines started in 1987 by a small family owned Finnish company, Studio Tuumat Oy, that has grown into an international publishing company. Beginning with the launch of their children's magazine they have grown to include a women's edition, and most recently a family edition that includes men's patterns. The company, which is still family run, "continuing goal is to create timeless, practical sewing patterns that are playful and cheerful with a Scandinavian twist."
